The Cape SAJBD hosted an engaging and highly informative discussion with political analyst, Wayne Sussman about the 2024 national elections in South Africa. Drawing from his extensive experience as a political analyst, Wayne delved into the evolving multi-party dynamics and offered insights into how the elections might unfold. Our Executive Director, Daniel Bloch, fired some tough questions which Wayne answered expertly. Wayne also fielded a variety of important questions from the audience. Wayne explains the new 3rd ballot, international voting, coalitions, the rise of the new parties like PA and MK, the possible scenarios for the race to win both South Africa and the Western Cape and why these elections are different from previous years.
