Antisemitism In The Western Cape

We closely monitor and investigate all acts of antisemitism in South Africa. We work closely with a legal team and the relevant authorities to assist members of our community who have experienced discrimination based on their Jewish faith and/ or identity.

Our Stance

Through millennia, the Jewish people have experienced persecution because of our religious faith and ethnic background.

Today, we find ourselves in a Republic of South Africa whose ideals echo our deepest commitments to shared humanity, respect, dignity, freedom and life.

Should you find yourself discriminated against because of the colour of your skin, your religion, race, ethnic belonging, gender, sexual orientation or identity, we will stand with you. We know your fear and seek to understand your hardship. You are not alone.

What to Do

Reach out to the Cape SAJBD. Together with a legal team and the appropriate authorities, we will ensure hate incidents are investigated and addressed in your community. Silence is often the greatest threat to our civil rights.
