Announcement: Simone Sulcas takes the reigns in the Western Cape.
We are delighted to announce the election of Simone Sulcas as the new Chairperson of the Cape SAJBD 2025-2027.
Simone brings a dynamic legal background, extensive experience heading our Legal and Antisemitism Subcommittee for the last several years, and a fresh strategic vision for the period ahead. She is both a natural diplomat and a warm, principled leader, and we are confident that under her guidance the community will continue to be well represented and protected.
Dawn Nathan-Jones and Glen Heneck have been elected as Vice Chairpersons, and Justin Asher will serve as Treasurer. Immediate past Chairperson Adrienne Jacobson and former Chairperson Rael Kaimowitz join
Simone, Dawn, Glen, Justin and Executive Director, Daniel Bloch, on the Executive committee.
Under Simone’s leadership, and with the combined strength, expertise, and passionate commitment of both long-serving and newly elected members, along with our professional team, the Cape SAJBD will continue to protect the rights of the Jewish community, represent our interests, and ensure that we continue living as proud Jews in the Western Cape.
