The Entrepreneurs Network ended the year on a high with an inspirational event held at the Isivivana Centre in Khayelitsha. This featured a panel discussion moderated by successful entrepreneur Luvuyo Rani, with local entrepreneur heroes who shared their journeys of starting their flourishing businesses in Khayelitsha.
The speakers included; Sikelela Dibela, who began his career as a dishwasher, then a barista and store manager at Vida, Sikelela then founded Khayelitsha hotspot Siki’s Koffee Kafe. He also launched his coffee brand, ‘Siki’s Blend.’; Sindile Mavundla, who is the Founder and Managing Director of Khaltsha Cycles, who aims to inspire cycling in townships by providing affordable, quality bicycles and promoting cycling mobility; Kudzai Mugwanda, the owner of Kuhle Nails and Beauty, based in Khayelitsha and surrounding townships. Kudzai empowers women through various beauty services; and Nomfundo Eland, a trailblazer in women’s health and well-being and an avid advocate for gender equality, Nomfundo is a transformation coach for Gender-Based Violence Victims and provides Survivor Psychosocial Support.
